Lake Agia
The artificial lake of Agia (Ayia) was converted from a swamp by the Public Power Corp for producing hydroelectric power - it is now abandoned, but there are still the old mechanisms visible. It hosts a large variety of aquatic plants, ferns and frogs and is also a shelter for many migratory and non-migratory birds.
